Villa Ascenda

Situated on a steep hillside, this project addresses the expansion and reconfiguration of an existing residence, developed in collaboration with Parco Studio, an architecture firm based in California, United States. The site’s complex topography posed one of the main challenges, impacting both the existing structures and the proposed additions.
At MAG, we supported the preliminary design phase, developing architectural solutions that respected the natural environment and the existing architectural language, aiming for a balance between functionality, structure, and material expression.

The proposal was carefully integrated into the site’s geometry, prioritizing the relationship with the landscape and the continuity between new and existing elements. Rather than imposing itself, the architecture adapts to the place, working with its conditions to enhance them.
Beyond technical aspects, the project provided an opportunity to deepen our understanding of international building systems, regulations, and workflows—strengthening our global collaboration skills and our capacity to operate in highly demanding contexts.
