Ponce

Ponce is a residential project located in the Parque Batlle neighborhood of Montevideo, within a consolidated and well-connected urban environment. The building spans five levels and includes 17 housing units, offering studio apartments as well as one- and two-bedroom options. The semi-basement ground floor houses the main entrance and parking area, while the intermediate levels are dedicated to residential units. The top floor features shared amenities, including a barbecue area and laundry facilities.

The architectural proposal is based on a clear volumetric composition and a material palette that combines exposed concrete, wood, and glass. The design prioritizes natural light, open views, and a seamless relationship between interior and exterior spaces. Generous terraces are integrated into the layout as an extension of this approach, enhancing the connection with the immediate surroundings and expanding the living experience outward.
At MAG, we were involved in the early stages of the project, assessing site feasibility and developing the architectural concept. Our work focused on defining the overall vision, exploring spatial and formal strategies that balance contemporary expression with the dynamics of urban life, while responding to both the context and the needs of future residents.
